After growing up in Johnson County and the Wichita Area, Ms. Zigtema attended Georgetown University where she obtained two degrees in International Business and Finance.  Ms. Zigtema returned home to Kansas and obtained her law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law.

During law school, Ms. Zigtema started her independently handled felony jury trials and managed a full case load at the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.  Before even passing the bar, Ms. Zigtema was successfully litigating criminal matters as an intern against other attorneys.

After law school, Ms. Zigtema joined a private firm in the Wichita area.  In addition to continuing to handle high level felony matters, Ms. Zigtema began her appellate career.

Ms. Zigtema opened her own practice in 2013 and the Zigtema Law Office continues to grow. Ms. Zigtema enjoys her reputation for her knowledge in the law, frequently consulting with other attorneys to assist them with their cases.  Ms. Zigtema teaches multiple continuing legal education programs per year in criminal work, juvenile defense, trial work, and other matters.

Ms. Zigtema has been repeatedly recognized as a top attorney in the 40 under 40 category of the National Trial Lawyers Association.  She is recognized as a Rising Star Super Lawyer.

Out of the office, Ms. Zigtema enjoys spending time with her family and watching or coaching her two boys from the sidelines, dugouts, and bleachers.
